Principal's Message (16 September 2022)
Greetings to members of our HTLC community.
Yesterday morning, I had the privilege of attending the F – 3 Junior School Concert. It was just wonderful to see all students performing to a full MPC, using their gifts and talents to entertain us all. On behalf of the college community, I would like to formally acknowledge and give praise to the staff and students who have worked tirelessly during the term to put on this show. We are so proud of you all! I hope that the experience students received yesterday has contributed to shaping their confidence, character and capabilities. Well done!
It is with excitement that I provide our school community with an update regarding the appointment of a new principal to commence in 2023. Currently applications are bring received for the position with interviews to take place in several weeks’ time. It is anticipated that an announcement regarding the appointment of a successful applicant will be made in mid-October. As this process continues, I ask that you pray for the selection panel and our college community at this time.
As our term comes to an end, I would like to wish all families a relaxing holiday. Schools are busy places, so I encourage you all to take time to rest. In saying that however I’d also like to acknowledge that whilst most will be relaxing some of our students will be on our ski trip, the 24-hour HPV event in Murray Bridge, and preparing for VCE exams. I would like to wish these students and staff all the best as they engage in these activities.
I look forward to welcoming students back to the college on Monday 3 October, with our welcome chapel commencing at 9am in the MPC. I invite all members of our community to attend.
Wishing you all a blessed week, and holiday break.
Mr Daniel Weller, College Principal
